nol go ship uh.

I wanna go lay out beneath the stars and talk.
Too bad it’s almost 1 in the morning, poooop.

My dad’s the best listener.

I always talk to my dad about guys because he’s so chill about it. My mom on the other hand goes nuts and starts ranting about how I can’t date guys, etc.

Apparently my dad is super chill about it because he knows how I feel and used to go on dates with girls when he was my age too. He tells me all guys are pretty much the same, or very similar, so he’s pretty good at giving me advice.

I dated a guy when I was in 10th grade for like a month, and I remember the first thing my dad said.

—

Dad: “I want to see what he looks like.”

Me: *shows picture

Dad: “…….. He’s not even that good looking. You need to date a guy that looks better than me at least! What the heck…”

Me: ” -______- dude, you’re such a jerk. LOOOOOOOL”

—

I really hope the guy I briefly dated doesn’t see this… awkward.. LOL. (if you know him, don’t tell- LOL)

I’m thankful my dad’s looking out for me. LOL I told my dad I kinda might have interest in someone, and he made me connect the computer to the big TV screen so he could take a good look at him… HAHAHAHHAHHAA. so funny.

My dad was apparently one of the most good looking guys at school back in the day, and was popular with all the ladies… LOL.

We ran into my dad’s friend’s little sister today and she instantly recognized him and started to go off telling me and reminding him about how he is good looking and looks the same from the past, blah blah, they used to hang out and go dancing, drinking, etc…

I was teasing my dad on our way back about how that lady must of had a crush on him to remember all those details and remember his face so well, when he couldn’t even recognize her… & my dad’s response was this:

—

Dad: “Yeah, she probably liked me… I didn’t like her though. Oh my gosh, I bet she was waiting all these years for me (she’s not married). Today is her lucky day! She got to see me!”

Me: “HAHAHHAHHAHHA WOW, HAHHAHA! I know dad! She even gave you her number! She’s totally into you!”

Dad: “HAHA, You’re right! She totally liked me. She must be feeling good, too bad I still don’t like her. & she got fat.”

Me: “………. omg, that’s mean…. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!”

HAHA, my dad’s so cute.

Beautiful Sky

Went out for a jog today and I couldn’t help but stare at the sky. It was mostly cloudy but you could see a patch of the clear blue sky peeking through. During my second lap around the neighborhood it started to drizzle, but through the rain you could still see the patch of light in the sky. I kept going. It was the third lap and the sky began to turn orange with flashes of lightning in the sky.

I couldn’t help but think to myself, “this is hope.”

Everything may be dark and cloudy around you, you may be standing out alone in the rain, but that small glimpse of light— that’s all you need to keep going. That’s hope. Seeing past the darkness, trusting that the light will shine through sooner or later and continuing to move forward.

I can’t understand people who don’t like the outdoors. Nature is so beautiful, how can you not be inspired by the world around you? Perhaps it’s the landscape architect in me.. haha.

I like drinking coffee alone and reading alone. I like riding the bus alone and walking home alone. It gives me time to think and set my mind free. I like eating alone and listening to music alone. But when I see a mother with her child, a girl with her lover, or a friend laughing with their best friend, I realize that even though I like being alone, I don’t fancy being lonely. The sky is beautiful, but the people are sad. I just need someone who won’t run away.

Tweet Tweet!

Finally got a twitter.. but I don’t really know how to use it/ have many people to follow…

So… follow me if ya want! Haha (:

We’ve become too familiar with the God we barely know.
